HOT YOGA
But not too hot! These classes are friendly to a beginner and can also be as challenging as those more experienced might make it, accommodating all levels. Classes are 60 minutes and 75 minutes. (See schedule for "Hot 60" and "Hot 75")
SLOW FLOW
This is a gentle yoga designed for those who prefer a slightly less challenging class with a slower pace than the rhythm found in our other classes. This is a great segway from our Yoga 101 class but can be enjoyed by all levels. The room is mildly warmed to help facilitate the loosening of muscles and joints.
ANUSARA
Anusara Yoga is a powerful hatha yoga system that unifies a Tantric philosophy of intrinsic Goodness with Universal Principles of Alignment. Anusara Yoga is based upon an uplifting philosophy, epitomized by a "celebration of the heart," that looks for the good in all people and all things. Consequently, students of all levels of ability and yoga experience are honored for their unique differences, limitations, and talents. These are non-heated classes.
ASHTANGA
This is a classic "power yoga" that combines strength and flexibility with movement, bandha control and breath. Mildly-warm classes accommodate students from beginner to advanced. These classes can be a slightly more athletic approach to yoga.
VINYASA FLOW
The word "Vinyasa" means "movements with breath". These classes consist of flowing poses and sequences that are linked to the breath. This class is diverse and sequencing will vary with instructor philosophy, but in general is a vigorous and more athletic approach to yoga. Mildly-warm classes accommodate all levels.
YOGA FOR ATHLETES
This is a challenging class designed to test your limits. Ashtanga based postures mixed with some moderately aggressive core building exercises will heat you up from the inside out. Mildly warm classes for yogis with some experience and a moderate to high level of physical fitness.
JIVAMUKTI
Jivamukti is a vinyasa style practice and classes can be quite physically intense. Each class has a theme, which is explored through yoga scripture, chanting, meditation, asana, pranayama, and music. These classes are non-heated.
